The Colors are picked

After a long deliberation....well, a quick trip around two neighborhoods to be exact, we picked the color of the siding.  We weren't sure on the shingle color and so we let the guy at the lumber yard suppliers recommend the shingle color.  It turned out pretty good, don't you think?

And the almost finished product.  We only have to pick the garage door.

We are starting to see progress after that damn tornado.

The detached garage starts

Today was a the day we finally has some real progress.  The builders came out and started the garage.  They were there a half a day and look at how they got on the garage.  Our builder Shane from Legend Homes said that it will take around two weeks to finish the garage.  These guys seem to be go-getters though, and at the rate they are moving it will probably only take a week.

Here is day one of the garage rebuild, they would have made it further, but their air compressor broke and so day one came to a screeching halt.

and finally, less than a week after they started, the garage was built.  Oh crap, we forgot that we would have to pick the colors.  We are the first ones on the street to put anything up and we want to make sure we choose wisely because shingles and siding are not replaced everyday.  Now the fun of driving around and looking at houses starts.  The Damn tornado causing us a bunch more time and energy.  At least now we are starting to see some progress towards the rebuild.
